Policies
When sending me work, please let me know the number of pages and when you need it back. I can then check my availability to accommodate you.
Send all transcripts in PDF format. If you are unsure how to do this, see this page.
Any work over 100 pages, please send it in 50ish page chunks so I can be working while you are and you will get it back much faster as I can work while you are.
I will return your PDF with my corrections in red text/yellow highlighting so it will be easy to spot. Only pages with corrections will be returned to save you time.
Please send only fully scoped transcripts, turn-in ready. Transcripts with a large amount of errors will be billed at a higher rate at my discretion, and I will contact you immediately if I see a transcript that falls under this guideline to let you know the rate. These transcripts hamper my ability to give you the best possible final product, as it is likely I will miss things in the barrage of corrections.
I strive to get your work out in a timely manner while maintaining the highest degree of accuracy. To that end:
Saturday/Sunday count as 1 day when figuring turnaround time.
Invoices will be sent on the 1st and 15th of the month for regular proofreading services. All invoices are due immediately. Invoices are considered past due after 15 days and will incur a 10% late fee every month, calculated from the invoice total. No new work will be accepted until the account is brought current.
Invoices for new clients will be sent immediately after the completion of the job and are due immediately.
